Where would we be without books? I grew up surrounded by wonderful books, which informed and inspired my interest in science.
I even wrote a couple of books, which have been moderately successful and, I hope have proven useful to the readers. With that in mind, I thought it might be a worthwhile service for Biodiversity Professionals group members to learn about books related to our discipline. As a way to do that, I am starting a Book of the Month club. The idea is to raise awareness about useful books and, perhaps, spark some discussion. So feel free to leave your comments below or to let us know on the LinkedIn Discussion thread.
To kick off, here is our first pick, Biodiversity: An Introduction By Kevin J. Gaston, John I. Spicer. Click on the image below to access the book’s page on Amazon.com. If you don’t see the image click here.
If you’re interested in other books related to biodiversity, conservation, wildlife, natural resources and the environment, please visit our Biodiversity Professionals online bookstore. All purchases are safe and secure through Amazon.com and a small commission goes to help support the costs of running Biodiversity Professionals.
If you have your own book, or have any suggestions to be featured as Book of the Month, please contact Roger Harris via the site contact form. Please note that we can only accepts books available on Amazon.com for Book of the Month.
